Family means everything.

And this little Canada goose family knows it.

The Pileated Woodpeckers work well as a family unit. One or the other is always at home with the young ones. Mom is doing the feeding duties this time for the three youngsters. They were exciting to find and photograph.

wish you all a great and happy day my friends :))**

The whole family here . . . . LOVE how long and lean they are! So vertical with the horizon so horizontal!

And on a side note, I'm going to be in Richmond, VA on May 16-19 and I'm booking some sessions while I'm back there. Flickr mail me if you're interested!

"the family. we were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. "

Daughter walking the Dog (Brutus)

The sunsets on the North Shore on the island of Oahu in Hawaii are something out of the ordinary. I stayed in a hostel very close to the Rocky Point surf break. I spent many sunsets there to watch the surfers enjoy the last waves of the day. So did this family. The woman carrying the infant child, the man, their dog, and their surfboards stayed for a long time. Quite understandable.

Pipeline, the amazing big wave surf break, is hidden between the family and the background mountain.

More of the shots I got of my family from Adelaide. Vanessa wanted a family shot, for getting the boys together is tricky. She cried on seeing it, which is nice and embarrassing at the same time.

working on getting a better variety of family shots lately and I think I got some good ones today. I could just play with a newborn on a beanbag for hours, but I'm challenging myself to try some new stuff off of the bag. I know if I'm about to cry when taking them... that the parents are sure to love them :0)

From a family visit in Klegod on the west coast of Jutland, Denmark. We enjoyed the November sun on a short walk to the beach. November 27, 2016.

Our two bestie ;-) Getting these two together, in focus and both facing the camera is quite a tricky thing, so I'm very happy with this shot

family archive from the 70s

this is my lovely aunt. more in comments

truly the beauty of Humanity...is considering all the poor common people as a family...who equally deserves to inherit Earth...to be protected as a blessing from God in Heaven...

Another entry for the MOCAthalon, for the category "illustration" which required me to build a scene from a book. I chose Swiss Family Robinson because of how much I love the books, and this scene presented me with an opportunity to try something new. I really enjoyed it, though it was really strenuous and tedious. All in all, I am pleased with the result.

This session of photos almost cost me my toes. That picture is my favorite amongst the new ones. Deciding to go home and defrost my limbs I said this tree looked just as good from this direction as from the other. So picked up my camera and shot the picture. That's what I call luck. I'm open to criticism.

I've been explored. Or at least this picture has been. I thank you all for your comments, invitations and choosing this shot as your favourite.
