Hunting for mice along a field margin.

Taken after sunset with some overhead clouds adding soft pink to the scene. Lovely hawthorns here and the weekend is looking like being a peak in blossoms. I cannot wait....!!

Not sure what village this was but it was between Hornsea and Withensea. We went down a lane that we thought may be good for one of them little gems of a discreet little bay but instead of that we found this idyliv village church.

It's been a few weeks since I last posted due to lack of any decent outings and poor weather. Thankfully had a trip out on Sunday morning with Jon B to the ponds near Givendale. Lovely frost and some mist before the sun rose and began to get too bright (and hot). I'll try and post something else from Saturday and Sunday in the next few days.

this is st peters church in wawne east Yorkshire this was the result of sixteen separate images in order to get a hi def image,it was then stitched in photoshop

26 September 2013: Theatrical elephants in Hull, East Yorks, are led through the city this afternoon. They were being filmed as part of the Hull's bid to become the UKâs City Of Culture in 2017. They were also filmed in Pryme Street multi storey car park and Hepworths Srcade.

The elephants were operated by performers from Newcastle theatre company Dodgy Clutch. They have performed in shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, on Broadway and in South Africa. If Hull succeeds in its attempt to win the City Of Culture 2017 title, the elephants will form part of a spectacular opening parade through the cityâs streets, which will also feature 3,000 lantern-bearing volunteers and dancing white telephone boxes.

Elephants were chosen as a theme for the opening ceremony because of their historical connections with the city. In Edwardian Hull, large zoological gardens in the Spring Bank and Princes Avenue area were home to a number of elephants, which could be seen walking along Spring Bank every morning to be washed in the River Hull.

Couldn't resist a foolhardy trip to Frendal Dale and wasn't disappointed by the snowy conditions although some of the drifts were two feet deep. Hope I've done it justice with these shots.

Shortly afterwards (10mins) the sun made an appearance lighting the view. Not sure whether I should have used the skyline as with the pre-dawn shot.

My first upload of 2012 which was taken yesterday morning when there was a slight covering of frost, which can be seen in the foreground. I've visited here a few times but never been able to come away happy but I find the colours really nice in this shot. The sun was just rising so the foreground grasses have a little glow about them as does the hawthorn bush.
