No idea what this is or where it was now other than we spotted it as we drove between Hornsea and Withensea and saw this so went in search of it. No idea what it is used for but it looked interesting.

I like contrasts in my stream and this shot could not be more different than the previous post. The vast Grand Canyon and now a tiny butterfly; still they are all part of nature.

I believe the butterfly is a small skipper but I am happy to be corrected

Walking home I had the rainbow on one side and this well sweet sunset on the other. I snapped a camera phone pic which probably has more faithful colours, but this one looks waaay cooler

Homage to my first ever Flickr upload.

Nothing complex here just a path through a bluebell wood

This is my last post on flickr for a couple of weeks, while I retreat from this increasingly crazy world for a short time. I have no illusions however, it will be just as mad when I return. It will be nice to be away from the city Internet phones and newspapers for a while.

It will also give my good contact Alan Walden a break from my frequent outbursts about the orange one. Hope Alan and all my contacts have a good and peaceful two weeks catch up with you when I am back in the swing of things

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED AND SO MUCH MORE INTRESTING THAN JUST GIVING A FAVE

Bempton East Yorkshire

This is East Yorkshire's best kept secret and where I stayed last week. This is what I was told

Thankyou for the visits and kind comments.

Enjoy your Tuesday

Flamborough...East Yorkshire.....Much more to see viewed large.

Another beautiful sunset only a few strides away from home.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISITS, COMMENTS, AWARDS AND FOR ANY INVITES.

First time out with the camera for quite some time. Having popped over to Goole this morning to chat about a website I took a detour down the Hook road to check out the view of the M62 / Ouse bridge. [Blogged]

Taken at TopHill Low in East Yorkshire. This Kingfishes pauses before going back into its nest to feed a brood.

Taken on a warm July day in a field in East Yorkshire. At that time our hedgerows and field edges will be full of this simple but delicate wildflower. My previous post was of a cultivar growing in my garden but I much prefer the wild one. The flowers are smaller they do not last as well but its that transience that gives them a charm garden plants just do not have.

I will be away from Flickr for a few days, we are spending some time with friends on the North Yorkshire Coast at Robin Hoods Bay, here’s hoping for some bright weather. Will catch up with you all later in the week

A shot of the wave crashing up against the cliff.

Taken on Saturday 25th March.

Found this while walking Spurn Point and couldn't miss taking a photo.

This is a black and white version. I have done a colour version but not sure which I prefer so thought as I dont post much black and white I'd post this one tonight.

Taken on me and my mate Daz's epic trip around part of East Yorkshire. I can see us adding part 2 and 3 to our journeys soon.

Seen on the 130 service in Bridlington on 20th October 1978 is East Yorkshire AEC GAT816D

The sunset looked beautiful last night with the sun so large and clear. I took this from my driveway.

Taken early Sunday morning (6.15am) before sunrise when I was greeted with a frosty Millington Pastures. Lovely soft pastel colours in the landscape. Joy.
