This lighthouse looked pretty neat there out along the Atlantic Ocean. Played around with some selective coloring with all that nice red on the lighthouse.

The Eastern Gate (Oostpoort) in Delft, an example of Brick Gothic northern European architecture, was built around 1400. Around 1510 the towers were enhanced with an additional octagonal floor and high spires. This is the only city gate remaining in Delft; the others were demolished in the 19th century. It currently serves as an art gallery and private residence.

Another sunny day in South Devon. This is a coast path view looking towards Start Point.

Climbs on Mt Cook routinely start not long after midnight. After four hours of walking and climbing the first glow of dawn in the east makes for great light, in this case on the east ridge of of the middle peak of Aoraki/Mt Cook. This little 'peak' is an often photographed bump about halfway up. Thats Steve in the photo. The summit is behind me, another 600m higher.

15 minutes after the previous image, we were treated to this beautiful display of light as the cloud started to break up.

The forgotten East Side of KC. The orange blaze down the middle on the other end is the sun setting.

Get well Trond!

NNRy 40 and KCCo 109 both rest inside the shop building at East Ely, the 109 having just been put to bed after switching the yard in a snowstorm.

What? .. Dawn at the beach again? ;)

Have a great weekend everyone

East Lighthouse on the pier, Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.

Not too sure about this shot, but this was shot at sunrise on the east shore of Kauai, near Kapa'a. This big cloud worked it's way toward me, and caught some nice sidelight.

The unreal landscape of Glacier National Park. This was taken looking east towards St Mary Lake during a sunset that wasn't supposed to happen.........well, it did : )

This is the sunset after our first day in PEI. I love double exposures.

This is a single exposure taken with my Fuji panoramic camera from Treasure Island. After a hazy layer of fog dissipated the color in the sky became apparent. I knew I was in for a good show!

Thank you for stopping by!

Another image using the IR720 Infra Red filter. I finally managed to get some blue into the skies using Capture NX software. You can always count on the internet for great advice!

Enjoying the cliff top view at East Point, Northern Territory - Australia.

As I've previously shared another shot from this event I decided to nick the caption for the sake of simplicity (and of course out of laziness on my part).

Class 50 locomotive No. 50050 Fearless makes a stop at Bury St Edmunds whilst working the "West Riding Limited" railtour on Saturday 10th March 1979. This special started from London Bridge, then made its way via East Anglia, Lincolnshire and West Yorkshire to York. The return journey to the capital was straight down (up?) the ECML, and then via west London to the final destination at Victoria. No. 50 worked the train for most of its journey, with 37245 and 37249 doing the honours for the Healey Mills - York section. It's worth remembering, in this day and age of numerous preserved diesels and their frequent ventures onto the national network, that it was quite an event for machines to go off their "beaten track" back then.

Thanks to the Six Bells Junction web site for reminding me of the details of this railtour.

Seen on the sidelines of the March for Homes protest.
