Day 86

Probably (ok, it will be) the last one of these images for the season, as everything returns to life and color.

Day 86 - Fire in the Sky

All I need to be happy at the moment is my 50mm, a flash and CTO Gels...

Well, of course there are other things that would work equally good or even better, but I don't want to be greedy. Todays topic was split, so I thought I go out, find me nice autumn colours and mix them together with some still green leaves. I thought I would be done in less then 15 minutes. Well, I was out in the woods for 2 hours, because it was so much fun and I got some really awesome pictures.

... this photo is brought to you by the Letter - L - press it and enjoy!

odc - my life (daily routine)

On the weekdays I tend to eat oatmeal loaded up with cinnamon, brown sugar, dried fruit and nuts. It is a great way to start to the day.

a quick shot of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library before going to class...

Another one to hit the "selective color" push from Lars (donlunzo16)

This selective color is not traditional as its subtle and not of the subject of the shot, but thats just how I roll...

still thinking of buying again :D

Shot on iPhone 5.

After having some fun with the SlowShutter app and a Ferris wheel last night, I decided to try some pictures at lunch of pedestrians walking past.

I really needed the tripod - but I'm happy with this. 1 second handheld while I was sitting on a bus seat. These legs, incidentally, are not related - um, they belong to different people. I think I might experiment a bit more with this.

Day 86 ~ 365.2015

ODC ~ Flame for 03.27.15

I had a disaster. my camera switched to RAW and i had no way to convert it and so this is the only photo i have right now from today and i don't even know how i managed to get this. maybe i'll add additional ones to the comments if i ever get a hold of them. uuuhhhh this is such a bummer. the sun was so pretty this afternoon and i enjoyed myself. besides getting rashes from whatever i lay in on the grass and the numerous strange looks i got off people and their dogs coming over and saying hi. today has been a lovely day and i've gota go revise psychology. my apologies for being behind on streams / flickr mail.

ALSO!!!!!~ I hit 20,000 views thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!~~~

Conwy. Lovely spot but notorious for one of the worst internet services in the UK.

Can't tell that spring is here from this picture. Taken at the Hogs Back Falls. I like the frozen ice on the rock wall. Again should really be viewed in the Light Box.

Ist euch schonmal aufgefallen, dass ich wenig Portraits mache?!

Ich persönlich finde es schwieriger als eine Landschaft zu fotografieren.

Deswegen üben üben üben. =)

This get pushed is going to be the ruin of me, Slacko! Took a shot of the state capitol yesterday afternoon. Bright sun and blue sky. So I removed the sky and added some photoshop clouds, some 'day for night' to darken the capitol and then added some lightning bolts. And now my head hurts!

There's something chasing me through the woods...

86/365.

More fun on the road with the phone.

Every sunrise is a present, a gift from God above,

Gift-wrapped with scarlet ribbons and tied with bows of love.

Each day's a new beginning, a time to start anew,

While all the stars are sleeping, and the rose is fresh with dew.

Every day's a new creation, too lovely to ignore,

And we may find a blessing, just outside our door.

We cannot keep the past, like fireflies in a jar

Nor journey to the future by wishing on a star.

Every sunrise is a blessing, a gift for just today.

Rejoice, my friend, embrace it before it fades away!

This was taken before the sunrise on my way out for a jog. Although it’s chilly, I took advantage of the beautiful morning to get some fresh air because the rain will come again tomorrow and the coming days. Another sunrise view from my window.

Have a fantastic day everyone!! :)

I took some shots at Lanercost Priory as the sun set. The one I chose was an afterthought as I turned around before heading to the car. In the end I opted for it as I quite like the sketchy quality the longer exposure gives to the sky. The trees are a bit cluttered, but I didn't have an axe handy to improve my composition.

I am going to pick up a prime lens and a new tripod tomorrow. So.... for I will be forced out of my comfort zone and I will get to see whether my camera is able to get out of F18+!

The tripod gave up the ghost completely today. The head can no longer support the weight of the camera and you can watch during a long exposure the lens droops and slides down. Not really pin sharp those shots I can tell you, but some interesting motion blurring! This was the final straw. It had already lost two of its three feet, and had one leg that wouldn't collapse. I only used it for the first time on 86 days ago and I've destroyed it.

I've recovered what whatever illness I had but am worn out from a busy week. So I will catch up on commenting over the long weekend. No work til Tuesday! Anyway, I must go. I've been reading this great book on anti-gravity and I can't put it down.

Some flowers on the porch.
