How can I call it a water drop while it's going up?

Je suis une partie d’un tout, tout comme l’heure est une partie du jour.

Soy una parte del todo como la hora es una parte del día.

This shot was taken from the boat passing by Toronto Waterfront.

It's a gray day and snowing outside .. a day for a splash of colour:)

El color es un medio para ejercer influencia directa sobre el alma: el

color es la tela, el ojo el macillo, y el alma es el piano con sus cuerdas.

Pretty colors filled the sky briefly on this particular morning. Had to be quick to catch them.

These colors are energizing, usually when I get

home after a few days away, I like, to take a cold bath, waterfall, and take a walk between this

nature, waterfall bath and walk in the mountains are

as, my main sources of revitalization ...... Only after these two

rituals, I feel rejuvenated and re-energized .....

View On Black

late evening at Great Falls... one could barely see the colors on the trees through all the spray and mist churned up by the rushing water

thanks so much everyone!

I love the colours, set-up, textures, euuuhh, everything!

Just some fun with pencils/props and lights in the studio, always the same... one idea sparks off another...

I love being a creative, it is the spice of (my) life. I cannot imagine 'not' having it...

I used recycled pencils for this image. I cannot resist the, spotted a funky rubber to go with them, made the composition in my head, right there!

So colourful and attractive? The child in me. I still LOVE to write in pencil, it brings out my best handwriting!

So this rant is about monitor calibration and colour management etc....

So I took this picture using a Hoya ND8 filter and a Hitech ND8 graduated filter. The filters add a bit of colour cast to the image, but shooting in RAW this can easily be corrected.

My computer has 2 monitors attached to it, these both show the image in completely different colours! OK so that may be an exaggeration, but one is a lot more saturated and contrasty than the other. Another 'variable' I have found is the program in which the picture is viewed. Photoshop/Picasa/Windows Photo Viewer all seem to show the image with slightly different colours.

Now this might not matter to most people, but it is starting to drive me crazy, especially when I think my photo is being finished with nice vibrant colours only to find out on another screen it looks pretty dull!

I think it may be time to invest in a screen calibrator. Has anyone on here had much luck with them?

This shot was taken on Porth Towyn beach in North Wales

for the doldrums of winter.

We live in a beautiful green place, The Evergreen State :) ...but we pay for it! The rains came early this year...and so we decided to pull out some color! Thank you Adrianne, Susy and Monica, for helping Stevie and I capture a little rainbow in color!

A double rainbow of pencils.

The color of springtime is in the flowers,

the color of winter is in the imagination.

Splashes of color explode in this high speed exposure.

In this image we dumped multiple glasses of colored water at once to create this colorful freeze-frame. We also added flour to the colored water to create a thicker appearance. Needless to say our studio was quite the mess afterward!
