20"x20" - acrylics, charcoal, soft pastels on canvas

The music is generated by translating elements of fieldhouse design into numerical sequences, which are then translated into notes.

This painting is on display for the weekend - Oct 2-3 -on the first floor at 1802 West Berteau Avenue (- on the Northwest corner of Berteau and Ravenswood) for Ravenswood ArtWalk as part of Chicago Artists Month.

This is a whimsical abstract painting with soft colors in pastels of green orange, yellow, and pink with strong, vertical, brown lines. It suggests to me a strange family of beings on an outing. This painting was at a juried exhibit at Cornerstone Art Center & Gallery for the Value, Volume and Variety Exhibit in Whiting, Indiana, May, 2011. Jurors were Robert Stanley and Jim Panos.

Here are several pieces from an art installation called “Victorian Graffics” by local artist Nick Fury now viewable at Ashland on the Green & Pink Lines. The installation consists of 20 colorful paintings installed along the platform. Inspired by images and experiences of the CTA, the paintings illustrate the juxtaposition of the vintage and the modern.

This art has been on display through October as part of Chicago Artists Month.
