A while back I found a picture like this on photographer Susan Stripling's website. I liked it and when I got the opportunity to take photos at a Chinese restaurant that has these big chandeliers, I knew I had to take a 'cheers shot' like this. I wanted the chandelier to be recognisable more than in the Susan Stripling picture I saw. I am quite happy about how that turned out. I wish the hands toasting were a bit more irregular. But hey, there is only so much you can do when you are on your back on the floor, asking five people that ought to be working to toast to a chandelier....

Just one of a million ways to process an image. I chose a quick one because it's Wednesday.
And I planned a very early-morning shoot today and it's already 12:30 AM. Have to rise at 4 AM at the least, driving to the Northern part of the province Groningen, the Netherlands and pick up my mother when I'm finished. She really wants to be with the kids for a couple of days :).

Here's one from last summer, to show some cheer and relief. Moshe (my bro) went through a very complex dental surgery today (full general anesthesia and all). I was sitting here, waiting for him to come online... nothing. I sent him SMS through Gmail, and after a while he called, said he was ok, still quite out of focus but awake, and that he'll come online as soon as he gets home. We talked... he's doing ok, still no pain, but that will come later. All in all, all went through just fine!
So this one's for you, bro! May your healing process and time be easy and short. Life will be much better after all of this *s*.

It's been awhile since I pulled out the Nikon D70s and the "nifty fifty" lens (Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D AF). So armed with the D70s, I decided to find the wine goblet again this morning (it's only water in the goblet, but its 5 o'clock somewhere!), as I watched the sun rise this morning. Added Feb 18, 2011... Thanks to those at Spiritualteachers.org who also think it okay to copy the picture to imageshack and then post it on their blogs!. But do have to say that at least one poster did provide a link back to that one person's credit, before one of their "senior" members decided to put it on imageshack and post it on their blogs.
Appartently they can't read the disclaimer below, and have no spirituality and definitely NOT teachers, by stealing! Does it really hurt to ask to use a photograph??

This is a shot for a competition run by "Cheer Up Clothing Company". The brief is pretty simple, take a shot of you wearing their clothes, so I thought this tunnel in Poplar would be a cool location.
Been meaning to check out this tunnel for ages now, so two birds, one stone !

179/365 Norah showing a bit of twin love and trying to cheer up Benny who was feeling a bit under the weather.
After spending way too long setting this up last night I managed only about 10 shots before the battery in my remote died. Lesson learned..... always have a backup handy! Luckily at least a couple of them were acceptable. ;)
