Blue illuminated bridge in Szczecin (Stettin) - Poland

Pattullo Bridge is located in the Metro Vancouver area of New Westminster, BC Canada

This image was taking during the afternoon rush hour. The sunset was brilliant. There was a large double rainbow to the north, at one point it was raining with sunshine at the same time.

The Pattullo Bridge is a through arch bridge that spans the Fraser River, connecting New Westmister, BC on the north bank to Surrey, BC on the South.

The bridge was constructed between 1936–1937.

Named in the honour of Thomas Dufferin Pattullo, a former premier of British Columbia.

The bridge's base is constructed of wood.

The Pattullo bridge is said to handle an average of 67,000 cars and 3400 trucks daily.

The total length of the bridge is 1,227 meters (4,026 ft)

The bridge below is a train bridge, and the bridge behind is for the commuter sky train.

The bridge over the road to the Church of the Ascension in Zvenigorod. Moscow region. Russia.

The temple has a rich and tragic history. Presumably from the 16th century, a wooden Ascension Church existed in Zvenigorod. In 1792, the stone Ascension Church was built, the bell tower was built later, in 1838.

In 1812 the church was ravaged by the French, but soon after the war it was renewed, thanks to the attention of the government.

And in 1922, the Ascension Church was devastated and closed. Until 1939 there was a grain harvesting center, and from 1939 to 1941 there was a garage for five buses and a truck. In May 1941 the church was completely dismantled.

On December 14, 2003, the Metropolitans made the foundation of a new church, which it was decided to build on its historic site.

The revival of the Ascension Church has become a symbol of the revival of ancient Zvenigorod and its spiritual transformation.

The picturesque bridge in Moscow is one of the most beautiful bridges in Russia and the highest cable-stayed bridge in Europe. It is a miracle of engineering. This bridge is called the bridge a "flying saucer REGISTRY-restaurant".1.5 km in length (almost a kilometer of the route passes completely over the Moscow River), 40 meters wide, 105 meters high (arch height). And the length of the main span is more than 400 meters.

Happy Monochrome Monday

The same bridge as the photo one before.

Before getting even more cloudy. Close to sunset time but the sun was still high.

Today (25 April) was Anzac Day. National holiday.

The acronym ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, whose soldiers were known as Anzacs. Anzac Day remains one of the most important national occasions of both Australia and New Zealand (by wikipedia).

I went to see ANZAC Day parade in the city today.

I'll show some photos ↓ (all by iPhone5)

Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, England which crosses the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name, and has become an iconic symbol of London.

The bridge consists of two bridge towers tied together at the upper level by two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers. The vertical components of the forces in the suspended sections and the vertical reactions of the two walkways are carried by the two robust towers. The bascule pivots and operating machinery are housed in the base of each tower. The bridge's present colour scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee. Originally it was painted a mid greenish-blue colour. (Wikipedia)

The Millennium Bridge in Gateshead is a tilt bridge for both cyclists and pedestrians crossing the River Tyne in the North East of England. The bridge cost £22 million to build and has a total length of 128m (413 ft) and a width of 8m (26 ft)

Happy :Sliders Sunday!

The bridge is not as scary to cross as it looks, It's at the Disney Animal Kingdom and I was on a tether. See my photo they took below in comments.

This was taken in September 2017. The smoke from fires out west and moisture in the air combined to create a halo of light around the bridge.

Night time shot taken from the Millennium Bridge with overcast misty weather.

The bridge includes a 380 m cable stay bridge structure, 126 m of multi-span approaches, a 50 m interchange structure and approximately 2 km of grade construction. The Kurilpa Bridge (originally known as the Tank Street Bridge) is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Brisbane River in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The bridge connects Kurilpa Point in South Brisbane to Tank Street in the Brisbane central business district. In 2011, the bridge was judged World Transport Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival.

Baulderstone Queensland Pty Ltd constructed the bridge and the company’s design team included Cox Rayner Architects and Arup Engineers. The bridge was opened on 4 October 2009 by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh.

Kurilpa Bridge is the world’s largest hybrid tensegrity bridge. Only the horizontal spars conform to tensegrity principles.

A public competition was held to decide on a new name for the bridge. On 23 November 2008 it was announced that the winning entry was Kurilpa Bridge. The name reflects the Australian Aboriginal word for the South Brisbane and West End area, and means "place for water rats".

Yesterday, we had a terrific day of hiking in eastern Dartmoor. On our way back home I simply had to stop to take a photo of this wonderful granite bridge spanning the River Dart. I might have annoyed one or the other driver by parking my car after the bridge in a bend - really sorry about this, but I could not resist! Holne Bridge is from medieval times, has been built in 1413. I like how the bubbles in the river creates those white lines in the long exposure.

#I got the wrong bridge initially, this is not Newbridge but Holne Bridge, a bit further downstream - thanks for letting me know @Rob Dando!

The Mathematical Bridge, also known as Newton's bridge, Queen's College Cambridge UK. It looks like an arch but is made of straight timbers.

The Ha'penny Bridge (Irish: Droichead na Leathphingine, or Droichead na Life), known later for a time as the Penny Ha'penny Bridge, and officially the Liffey Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge built in May 1816 over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. Made of cast iron, the bridge was cast in Shropshire, England. Originally called the Wellington Bridge (after the Dublin-born Duke of Wellington), the name of the bridge changed to Liffey Bridge. The Liffey Bridge (Irish: Droichead na Life)[1] remains the bridge's official name to this day, although it is most commonly referred to as the Ha'penny Bridge.
