We often see graffiti on walls, but don't normally see the work in progress. I caught this artist - at work in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, putting the finishing touches on his masterpiece. The city of Dartmouth designated this older buildings as a canvas for "street art".

I don't normally post photos of someone else work, and normally I would never do so without giving the artist all due credit but I saw this painting in a store window in Charleston West Virginia and just loved it. The store was closed so I couldn't inquire about purchasing it at the time, and when I returned, the store was gone. I have no idea what happen to the original work. I do not know who the artist is but I would love to give them credit. I post it now because I feel it deserves to be seen and I wanted to share it with everyone. In respect to the Unknown Artist, This is a crop of the Painting and not the complete work. If anyone by chance knows who the artist is please let me know so I can give them credit for this great paining.

Sunrise this morning over Narrabeen. The clouds reminded me of an artists pallet.
Well, I'm briefly back from a "grand" trip up to Lake Superior and the North Shore area. (No angry bear issues this trip!)
I had the pleasure of having breakfast with Monica (lablover47) in Two Harbors on Monday morning, then proceeded up Route #61. More photos to follow soon...

Artist's Palette in Death Valley National Park. Artist's Palette is an area on the face of the Black Mountains noted for a variety of rock colors. These colors are caused by the oxidation of different metals (iron compounds produce red, pink and yellow, decomposition of tuff-derived mica produces green, and manganese produces purple). _DSC6899A
