Met up with Phil on a night that was suppose to be cloudy. Turned out to be the most starry night in a long time, Could even see the Milky Way.
Went to a local canal bridge and locks, did a shot under the bridge then before leaving came up top and got this one.
We then moved on to meet Jack and Arthur and went to a church, which was open. Shot inside for a bit, then light painted a cow before coming home.

This was the last place my husband and I visited together before he unexpectedly passed away in 2008. It will always be a special place in my memories.

A MUST VIEWED LARGE!!
This shot I took with my old Minolta A1 which had a fabulous macro lens and this was one of images from that camera taken on a foggy and frosty winter sunrise with those water droplets hanging from the thorns of a Blackberry bush!
I'm getting bored with being busy.

I had a pretty neat birds shot, but the sky was so dull...it just made the whole photo ugly....so I added those little circles that some people on flickr are so fond of (it's slightly better than the dull sky now).

Questo è il frutto della collaborazione artistica con Juan, una persona davvero speciale che ora non andrò a descrivere con lunghissimi periodi pieni di aggettivi. Uno solo è l'essenziale ed è "speciale".
Andiamo ora a parlare dell'immagine
Si tratta della rappresentazione visuale del primo movimento della Sinfonia n.5 di Beethoven
Il tema rappresentato è la volontà di spezzare il destino, un lungo nastro nero e cupo, senza fine, che viene sapientemente controllato dalle Parche ( sulla sinisra, le loro tre paia di braccia )
Copio qui la descrizione dell'opera fatta da Juan. Sicuramente è molto più bravo di me a descrivere le cose, soprattutto se si tratta di musica, anche se rappresentata in immagine e non suonata.
" L'idea di una rappresentazione-omaggio della 5ta Sinfonia di L.V.Beethoven mi fu proposta da Fabio come desiderio di esprimere un qualche cosa di speciale, di suo, attraverso il ben noto primo movimento
[ Allegro con brio ] meglio conosciuto come "il destino che bussa alla porta" per dirlo con le parole del compositore.
Tuttavia ciò che vedete nel nostro lavoro non vuol essere una "traduzione" del pensiero di Beethoven, cosa impossibile del resto. E' piuttosto una ricreazione personale e simbolica del destino e della volontà dell'uomo... ed è il risultato di lunghe conversazioni telefoniche e raffiche di "sms" dai toni accesi ed entusiasti. "
This is the result of the artistic collaboration with Juan, truly a special person. I won't describe him with an huge list of adjectives, because "special" is the perfect word.
Let's talk now about the image concept
This is the visual representation of first movement of the symphony n 5 by Beethoven.
The theme is the will to break the destiny, a long, black,dark, endless thread, that is wisely controlled by the three Parcae ( on the left, their three pairs of arms )
