RJFC Sticker #47 was completed in Amsterdam on 4/30/14 using found trash on a rectangular label. It was left the same day on a trash bin along Frans Halsstraat just around the corner from the Heineken Headquarters.
See where it was left below.

USING TRASH OFF THE STREETS TO MAKE ART ON THE STREETS.
I use only trash and found items to collage these one of a kind, handmade, signed & numbered stickers. They are made to compliment my larger works, using trashy paperback book covers, record & magazine covers, CDs, posters, postcards and other mass-produced media as a base for my hand-cut & paste collages, which I usually leave out on the streets for anyone to enjoy (or destroy.)

Book 47 from the Britannica Great Books Series - a little light bed-time reading. ;-)
Hey.... here I am, a day late and a dollar short, as they say. But, if ya'll don't mind, I'll finish up to 50 here. Feels a little more complete. ;-) And I'll make it work with the alphabet, too...even if it's a bit of a stretch sometimes.
Assignment: PCA 47 - The Essence of Your Area
Deadline: November 30, 2008
Image Tag: pca47
Mission: Produce a group of photographs that describe the quintessence of the area in which you live.
In the context of this assignment, a "group of photographs" means that less than 3 such images is probably deficient in quantity while more than a dozen is probably excessive. Use your judgement. The "Area in which you live" is loosely defined; you define it. It can be a city block, your office, your city, the area you roam. Use your judgement. Since I live in Southern California and roam much of it, I might include images ranging from Santa Barbara to San Diego and everything in between.
This is not necessarily an essay - although you may make it one. The images need not have a logical progression nor are they required to tell a story. Each image must, however, fulfill the requirement of portraying the area. You want to capture the essence so that anyone looking at the scene (who has been there) would recognize it as being of the area. Iconic images are especially good. In my case, the restaurant at LAX would be an example. The White House would be iconic for anyone in the Washington, D.C. area. A cornfield is quintessential Iowa. In addition to the icons, we want the essence of daily life, whatever that may be. We want a group of images that best portray the area in which you live and its flavor.
I am especially eager to see the results for parts of the world where I have not been. Your world through your eyes
WIT
This is a mixture of new and old images.
Truth be told, my area revolves around my commute to and from work and the stomping grounds that I frequent when I go off to take photographs.

A more detailed description of the images is included in the set.
