This Pic is from my personal photo collection taken during the 1980's and 1990's as I followed my hobby of spotting and bashing locos around the uk .

After spending some time cleaning the images up I now feel it's time to show them and not let them hide away in a box.

Please Enjoy.

Another quote that sparks interest in me; another quote that I've yet to figure out the meaning of. :)

I have time. Someday, I'll figure it out.

The right side of my closet. :)

If you want to know how much clothing I have in my closet, take this amount and multiply it by 3.

If you want to know how much clothing I have in my dresser, take this amount and multiply it by 4.

If you want to know how much clothing I have in a pile on the floor of my room, take this amount and multiply it by 2.

Now, I won't go on, but there are also some clothes in the wash and some in my sister's room.

I have too much. :)

47/365

Another stranger/ actor I met whilst walking on the Taff trail. I met a group filming them and asked if they wanted some stills. They were all pretty happy about it as they were doing their own film project. I offered to e-mail the pictures to them.

This picture is # 47 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.100Strangers.com

47 579 arrives at it's destination of Oxford with a service from Paddington.

Class 47's were once common enough on the Caledonian Sleeper until around 2001/2002 when ousted by Class 67's, themselves replaced by Class 73's last year.

However reliability issues mean Class 67's are back on the Inverness diagrams, while Colas Rail's 47739 "Robin of Templecombe" is being rarely allowed out on some Aberdeen runs solo.

Seen here at Stonehaven,February 2017,

Gabby came around the corner to find Clarabelle and Taz deep in conversation. She had a sneaking suspicion that they were talking about her, because as soon as they saw her they stopped talking and looked away.....

Gabby is dying to know what they were talking about.

Little does she know that Clarabelle's already started to make plans to throw Gabby a big surprise birthday party this summer and she needs Taz's help to round up all her friends.

No matter what anyone says, Clarabelle's a good monkey. ;)

Playing around with some more light painting after my final exams last week. An amazingly close friend of mine was helping me out with this in the evening. It was crazy cold and windy and my tripod was being blown away by it several times so it took refuge under the church doors instead aha.

Atleast school is over! :D

Happy holidays!

Class 47 loco 47811 at Crewe Basford Hall on 26/05/12.

Any freight traffic for Wisbech would normally be included in the morning working from Whitemoor which returned around 11.45, although quite often earlier if shunting was finished. This meant the 13.30 from Whitemoor frequently ran as shown here with just a loco and guards van, the return working being a load of VDA vans filled with petfood from the Wisbech Spillers factory, bound for Scotland after these trains commenced running in late 1979.

During factory holidays, the Wisbech goods often reverted to being a Class 08 shunter or any local engine which was on restricted working.

It's hard to believe that 47245 is still in traffic today with West Coast Railways, just put a search into Flickr for it and you will see how it looks now.

Back in 1980, when this photo was taken on February 7th, a Class 47 on the branch was still a novelty. 47245 had been a Bristol loco for a year or so, before that it had spent most of its life at Cardiff, save a spell on the Southern at Eastleigh when as D1922 it helped to oust steam on the Bournemouth line in 1966/67.

This slide was taken at Newbridge Lane on the approaches to Wisbech.

The Forth Road Bridge opened 47 years ago today, along with a section of M90 and A823(M). These were Scotland's first motorways. It's odd to think that honour went to Dunfermline instead of Glasgow or Edinburgh. Then again, Edinburgh hates cars so it's no surprise that the first Scottish motorway didn't go anywhere near the city.

It's unfortunate to think that by the time the Forth Road Bridge turns 50 it'll almost be replaced by the new cable stayed bridge that's planned for this location.

I'm going to go very much against the grain here but I prefer the road bridge to the rail bridge. Suspension bridges have a certain elegance to them. The way they almost hang from the sky and soar majestically across whatever they have to span gives them a certain edge.

If I'd known the bridge's birthday was coming up, I'd have bought it some cables to replace the ones that have snapped.

Day 47: we went to Wegman's for lunch today and one of the chefs was checking on some soups and I noticed he had a hole in his hat. Normally there is a star there.

It was a busy cooking day today, what with canning tomato-cashew chutney and nine-chile salsa, but instead of getting lazy and ordering pizza, as is our wont on Sunday nights, we grilled some Travis chops. They were served on a bed of grilled peppers and onions, with a side of roasted potatoes. The side veggies were all from the farmshare, but the pork did have a bit of our own garden grub attached -- they were rubbed with a creole spice blend that we made yesterday (for a batch of pickled okra) that included ground dried Fish and Matchbox peppers from our garden. So basically there were trace elements of garden in this meal.

A little retail therapy.

Did a base coat, then a thin coat of a white polish (OPI - Time-less is More), then a matte top coat. it looked really great, but didn't last long. The shower I took the next day made the cuticle ends flakey. :(
