I was thinking "silent hill" the whole time. Garage floors are cold in the winter.
You know when you are looking for something and you can't find it. You end up finding the last thing you were trying to find that you couldn't but you don't know why you were looking for it earlier...I hate that.
Rock Island westbound freight #47 stops to change crews in front of the depot behind a U33b, Detroit Edison SD40 (191-DE006.) It looks like one of the crew from Goodland (Kansas) has dropped off and will head across the street for the Bank Hotel and his layover, or it's a Limon crew member and he will perform the rollby of his train before hopping on the caboose and riding to Denver, and the Rio Grande's North Yard there. The depot is on the right and on its other side is what we called "Springs-side" or the line to Colorado Springs (during my stay at the Bank Hotel, I recall the crew caller knocking on my door to say "Enenbach! Looks like Springs-Side tonight!" and give me the time to report.) Once this train gets started, it will soon get on the U.P. Kansas Division trackage to head for the Mile High City.
A looong day, but I managed to get a few things completed and headed home while the sun was setting. I took a few quick snaps with my iPhone because the sky was so pretty and it would be too dark by the time I got home.

today i went sweet and made this. tomorrow i am going savory and will attempt and steak & guinness pie.
this happens when i read cookbooks.
Another challenge, this time issued by myself (Njordr) to Nyx, creating an outfit for a middle eastern assassin. I am ready to crash.
Gawd this week/month is killing me!!! It seems like this is the first day in FOREVER since I've been able to actually take my time to work on my photo of the day. And I am proud of it. But alas I have to go to work now, as it appears that I no longer have any days off any more..
