114 in 2014 #10 Paperweight
Glen and I drove up to Edmonton for a day of antiquing. This paperweight caught my eye, knowing it was on my 114 list. I struggled to get a decent shot of it, until I thought of 'floating it' on the lighted glass bottle case. I really love how some of Glen's bottles were reflected in the glass from below.

The only good thing about the snow.. it is awesome to take photos in.. the light reflects off the snow.. which in turn gets rid of those black circles under my eyes.. going to take more today at lunch time.. got my snow boots and everything!! Hope you have a great PHat Tuesday!!

I've been terrible at this 365 the past week and a half. but I'm catching up now and I'm going to try my best to get back on track.
These are some photos I took for a project for my POP (principals of photography) class for using colour temperature to evoke an emotional response from the viewer and create mood.
My late Step-father was a collector of many things. Not everything he collected had a value as we later found out. I think he just liked pretty things. One of his collections were old vintage antique keys. I often wonder where they came from and what lock they open.
sometimes you gotta make sure who you're getting close with, because once they leave, they will leave.
and they'll also leave a ghost inside of you. a ghost that doesn't leave.

challenged by mary this morning via a text that i should take a selfie in the beautiful fog that arrived overnight :) so i just had to. and i havent done a manipulation in a while, and this felt good. it did. i know it was a whole lot of running, and people were watching from every corner but i didnt care, it felt relaxing to me. it felt great to breathe in the fog that had lingered around all day. i looked up at one point when i was running to see birds fly over my head in a canvas-like sky. todays weather in general was how i felt inside. so everything here, on the outside, is also the inside... everything just felt so surreal today, and i hope there will be another day like today.
