Once a year St Andrew's has an open day where some of the "hidden gardens" are open to the public and this is where I was on Sunday!
Of all the Hiddens Gardens that were open to the public I think this has to be my favourite.
This is not the house itself but is a picture of the dovecote which is now a bothy that stands in the gardens of number 46. The house itself is huge and very old.
You would never know from looking at the front of this house just what lies behind it, even the address is low key. The house opens onto the street with no front garden at all but the back garden is amazing! I loved this one enough to go back again twice on the same day.
It’s my idea of the perfect garden! It starts off looking small and pretty but opens up gradually into a number of “rooms” that seem to go on from one to the other further and further along little winding grass paths with seating areas tucked away behind rose arches and shady corners with plants and ancient trees of every kind in the borders. Part of the garden was a wildflower meadow. Musicians were playing in a disused dovecote (doocot) and high walls divided the garden at this point. It had an air of timelessness and history and if it was mine I would only ever go indoors if it was raining! I told the lady of the house how beautiful I thought it was and she smiled and said “Thank you, I love it so much”. And that’s exactly how it felt – a much loved garden.
I miss mine sometimes but it was so lovely to be able to see it and for a short while to share it and love it too.

I legami che ci vincolano a volte sono impossibili da spiegare, ci uniscono anche quando sembra che i legami si debbano spezzare. Certi legami sfidano le distanze, il tempo e la logica. Perché ci sono legami che sono semplicemente... destinati a essere.
I went to the vintage show at Rufford Abbey yesterday afternoon with Katie. She loved it, especially the lady singing songs from the 1940's. I ended up buying another vintage camera and on the same stall was this old vintage record player. I asked if I could take a picture of it and the lady selling on the stall put it on for me. You had to wind it up to get it to go but the tones from the old record was wonderful and full of warmth, transporting me back to a time I never even knew
{February 2, 2012 -As i have metioned before.. I just love the sky, like, i'm not sure how God managed to do it.. but He did a mighty fine job! ;D
I just feel like time is sorta slipping away from me. I'm not sure why, but the days are just going by so fast, and I don't like it. haha (: I need to really rely on God when I feel like this because I feel like i'm not striving for what is right, and I feel like i'm being tugged back to God. And really, I'm thankful for that tugging on my heart, because without it, I probably wouldn't be doing so well. I am so thankful for God, I don't know how He can love a messed up person like me, but He does, and I'm in awe! :) For now, I'm just trying to be the best, Godly, helpful, kind, loving, (and the list goes on) me I can be.}

IUDSHADISAHSDAHDSHIUSDA
Enfim, muito obrigada por tudo, de verdade.
Beijos e abraços AKA xoxo **
