This is Libby. I rescued her 10 years ago and she has brought me JOY every day. She's sweet. She's also fickle, shy, cranky, silly and funny. I love her a ton. I'm thankful for her and the joy she brings to my life.
P.S. She's yawning. :-)
All joking aside, please see your doctor about this painless prostate exam... it may save your life!

Yes I do! Yes I do want some leftover cookies from yesterday. Thank you.
It's been a long day and this is the only photo I took today that I can even imagine to post.

the fair scene credit to chiara tadeo; she painted it on a back of a chair that used to reside at the haylofters until they got rid of all the old chairs, so noelle & i saved these for her.
chocolate fest was always my favourite time of year when i was little. i always loved the ferries wheel, the caterpillar roller coaster, the carousel... and every year, i always said that i wanted to be a carnie so i could just stay at the fair all the time.
(i think i might just make this red lipstick week :D)

Day 1 of teacher convention ended with me getting to hang out with the legendary Myriam. :D It wasn't super cold so we went for a little walk in her neighborhood and snapped this shot that made the shot of the day. :) -Randy
A Taurus CIA model 851 .38 revolver: My first shot at product photography - a good buddy of mine is a gunsmith, and when I noticed my leg holster was sweating through and corroding the cylinder, I got him to refinish it in two-tone OD green and black Cerakote (a ceramic coating that can withstand quite a bit of punishment). I thought it came out very well. I've always enjoyed the fantastic firearms photography on Nighthawk Custom and Tactical's website, and I thought I might try my hand at a firearms product shot.
Strobist: Nikon D90, 18-200 Nikkor, hotshoed su800 triggering two Honl-snooted sb600's to the 3 and 9 o'clock positions at 1/64, two bare sb-r200's at 1/32 - one from the six o'clock and another from about the two o'clock position. A single sb900 suspended directly overhead at 1/128 to soften some of the shadows. Exposure was 1/200 at f/14, ISO 200.
38. Scav Hunt can be dangerous. Beyond the obvious risks of power tool injury, kidnapping, chikan, hot glue burns, and electrocution, one can never rule out food poisoning, sudden loud sounds, and elevator doors. To make Scav just a little bit safer, we expect your headquarters to be decked with at least five Japanese-style public safety signs warning of the dangers of the Hunt. One can't be expected to take risks seriously without adorable characters to personify the danger, the endangered, or accompanying helpless bystanders. [5 points]
My belly (and why I'm ready to go!) at 38 weeks (and 3 days) pregnant
side note: I had Ben EXACTLY one week later from this photo :)

Sorry Kittens! Boo has taken your cat post and turned it into a car(And train and plane) park!
I love finding little things like this that the kids have done around the house!
Some quick shots of a '38 Chevy truck for an upcoming magazine article. The ride has some rat-rod elements to it, but the attention to detail is closer to what you'd expect on a show & shine vehicle. The best part is that this truck gets driven on a daily basis--in fact, it's all the owner drives in the summertime.

I have a box of (I think) 66 different router bits at work. The missing one at the front is currently fitted to the router table.
These are from Rutlands, who do excellent selections of this kind of thing at very reasonable prices.
2012 is the 100th anniversary of bus route 38, and on Sunday 17th June Arriva marked the occasion by running three Routemasters from its Heritage Fleet as 'extras'. These were also joined by an RTL and RTW from the London Bus Company. No fares were charged on these buses, but passengers were invited to make a donation to Maggie's Cancer Charity. A vintage K-type bus dating from 1921 also traversed the route, carrying invited guests. As three of the 'New Bus 4 London' were also operating, the route attracted a lot of attention.
Open-top RMC1464 for the Arriva Heritage Fleet is seen at Islington Angel en-route to Victoria. This vehicle was originally built for Green Line coach work.
Had a very willing model this weekend !
Used natural light from the window, I do think they are a bit soft on the focus. But this is so different from what I usually take and I can see the errors, background clutter etc, so lots to learn but so enjoying the process.

GRUPPE 38 - TEATER FOR ALLE ALDRE!

You know you're 365 is in full swing when you spend a day at the beach Kayaking with friends and family and you're shot of the day ends up being an arid patch of desert which looked interesting to you! We went to the west of the country today to a place called Zekreet where we could try out Kayaking. The water is so shallow you have to go out a good 200 metres before it reaches waist height, perfect for beginners like us. Although it wasn't very hot I've a nicely reddened crown from sun burn! Lesson learned... again! Some more from the day in comments

"In 1979 a "Collector's Series" option package was available, which added virtually every Lincoln feature with the exception of a moonroof, engine-block heater, and the choice of velour or leather upholstery. The Collector's Series package raised the price of a Town Car or Mark V to almost $22,000.00 US dollars, an astronomical sum for a domestic automobile in 1979 (approximately $65,200 in 2010 dollars). There were only four colors available: dark blue, white and limited-issue medium blue (197 built) and light silver (125 built) with a dark-blue vinyl top." (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Continental)
The Northrop T-38 Talon is an American supersonic jet trainer. It was the world's first supersonic trainer and to date, is also the most produced. It remains in service as of 2009 in air forces throughout the world including the United States Air Force (USAF), which remains its largest user.
The basic airframe was used for the light combat aircraft F-5 Freedom Fighter family. In addition to USAF pilots, T-38s are also used by NASA astronauts, the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (other T-38s were previously used as USN aggressor aircraft), other NATO pilots under a joint training program, and some under civilian ownership.
