Pineapple Angel Food cupcakes
1 box angel food cake mix (make sure it is the kind that is only 1 packet, like Betty Crocker, not the type where you have to combine 2 packets)
1 can crushed pineapple in water -- 20 Ounce Can (do not drain)
1. Combine both ingredients in large bowl.
2. Mix on medium speed with electric mixer.
3. Bake according to time on box, based on the type of pan you're using
(15-20 minutes @ 350 for cupcakes)
They're REALLY good & a lot lower in fat & calories than regular cupcakes.
My personal tip - next time I will fill the cups more b/c these deflate/shrink more than regular cupcakes. I was able to get 35 cupcakes out of that recipe above, so there was definitely plenty of batter to make them fuller/bigger.
2012 is the 100th anniversary of bus route 38, and on Sunday 17th June Arriva marked the occasion by running three Routemasters from its Heritage Fleet as 'extras'. These were also joined by an RTL and RTW from the London Bus Company. No fares were charged on these buses, but passengers were invited to make a donation to Maggie's Cancer Charity. A vintage K-type bus dating from 1921 also traversed the route, carrying invited guests. As three of the 'New Bus 4 London' were also operating, the route attracted a lot of attention.
LT4, the fourth and most recently delivered 'New Bus 4 London' prototype, is seen at Islington Angel en-route to Victoria.

Bath time at the cabin
There's something about going out into the middle of nowhere and completely adapting your lifestyle. Going to the cabin is like being in a different culture. You have to do everything differently. This is our bath time. We had a great swimming season at the cabin this year and when you're in the water you might as well get a little scrub in. You're always prepared for a last minute bath with our soap and shampoo in a Ziploc on the dock. The only thing I've discovered that is hard - long hair. Treading water while trying to get shampoo out of your hair or swimming forward with your hands on your head is kind of difficult. Oh well. At least we can bathe when we're there for long periods of time.
On this particular occasion my family had been out there for a week. I joined them for a long weekend and believe me they all needed a scrub down! They worked hard and played even harder. The property isn't clean. There are bugs, rodents, animals of all sizes, and lots of dirt so it's really nice to be able to feel refreshed and somewhat clean in the middle of your stay.
Beautiful surrounding and cool, refreshing, Canadian water. I wouldn't mind a bath in a location like this more often.

Orchard Combat Training Center, Idaho.
An infantry soldier from The Royal Westminster Regiment, B Company 5 Platoon, out of New Westminster, British Columbia, practices engaging enemy forces during an exercise at the Orchard Combat Training Center, Idaho, USA as part of Exercise Cougar Salvo 12.
Exercise COUGAR SALVO is 39 Canadian Brigade Group's signature large-scale training event. It involves approximately 600 Army Reservists from British Columbia, and integrates nearly 200 members of other Canadian Forces organizations and the Arizona Army National Guard, between April 28 and May 6, 2012.
The purpose of Exercise COUGAR SALVO 2012 is to challenge soldiers and their leaders in exciting, realistic and relevant tactics and live firing. This year's exercise takes place at the Idaho Army National Guard’s state of the art facilities at the Orchard Combat Training Center, near Boise. Based on recent operational experience, various scenarios challenge the soldiers’ skills in armoured reconnaissance, artillery, combat engineer, infantry, health services, signals, and logistics roles. The exercise culminates in a collective, all-arms tactical assault and live firing scenario on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
“This is a relevant and progressive training opportunity for our leaders and soldiers,” said Colonel Bryan Gagné, Brigade Commander. “Since hundreds of our BC-based soldiers have gained operational experience in Afghanistan and elsewhere, Exercise COUGAR SALVO provides a vital training platform to share their knowledge, and retain and develop their own skills, and to maintain our readiness for future operations.”

Un fantassin de la compagnie B, 5ième peloton, du Royal Westminster Regiment, située à New Westminster, en Colombie-Britannique, se pratique à engager les forces ennemies durant un exercice à l’Orchard Combat Training Center, en Idaho, États-Unis, pendant l’exercice Cougar Salvo 2012.
L’exercice COUGAR SALVO est l’aboutissement de l’entraînement du 39ieme Canadian Brigade Group. Cet évènement comprend environ 600 réservistes de la Colombie-Britannique, ainsi que 200 membres d’autres organisations des Forces Canadiennes en plus de l’Arizona Army National Guard, qui se déroule entre le 28 Avril et le 6 Mai 2012.
Le but de l’exercice COUGAR SALVO 2012 est de mettre à l’épreuve les soldats, ainsi que leurs supérieurs au cours d’opération réalistes et excitantes. L’exercice de cette année a lieu de l’état de l’Idaho, au Orchard Combat Training Center, près de la municipalité de Boise. Ce séjour est basé sur des opérations récentes sur divers scénarios qui renforcent les habiletés des soldats en ce qui à trait leur compétences dans la conduite de véhicules blindés de reconnaissance, de l’artillerie, des ingénieurs de combat, de l’infanterie, des premiers soins militaires, des communications et de la logistique. L’exercice se conclut lors d’une attaque collective, en tirs réels, le Samedi le 5 Mai 2012.

It was a beautiful day today, so my mom and I decided to grab some lunch and take it to the park in the middle of our office complex. After we ate, we went for a short walk and she snapped some photos of my almost 38 week belly. It was a nice change to be able to pose without using a self-timer!
Stranger #38 has this amazing personality which her amazing hairdo displays and to top it all she's got this cool tattoo that says her name too...Gizmo!

The backyard of my neighbors two doors down is entirely one big flower/wildflower garden. Not a single patch of grass to mow. Quite unique, and looks beautiful in the spring and summer.
Prussian (KPEV) Class P8 (DRG Class 38.10) 4-6-0 No.38 3199 in original condition as built in 1921 for DRE but in Prussian green livery with short chimney, no smoke defectors and 2'2'T31,5 tender. This loco was sold to the CFA (Romania) in 1926 as their No.230 106. The KPEV, DRE & DRG sold 50 to the CFR who then built 326 new engines by Malaxa and Resita. At the South German Railway Museum, Heilbronn 6/10.
Do you like your 38-2's in 4 or 6 axle versions? CN rosters both, and these began life as IC and EJ&E units...and still are!
