I've been playing around with focus stacking today, to try and get really detailed DOF from my shots. This is made up from 20 individual shots. I'm really pleased with it!
Day 1 - Can't quite believe I'm uploading these as I vowed I wouldn't attempt another 365 as I hate the failure I face every time... but 14 is my lucky number so as we enter 2014 I thought why the bloody hell not!
With an exciting year ahead; partner coming back from deployment in Afghanistan, buying a house and getting married this year there should hopefully be a lot to keep me inspired and a lot of memories to capture too. Fingers crossed!

I love having flowers round the house, these were from a bouquet my daughter bought me at the weekend, she nearly alway brings a bunch when she comes!
Last day in Dubai - at the airport
The Emirates terminal is an interesting place and this is one of the columns. I have saturated the blue to fit in with the ODC theme of 'Light it up Blue'!
A magical walk in an enchanting forest was organised by the APUG guys. I snapped a few shots with my iPhone and spent the rest of the morning hauling my tripod and Mamiya around the woods - great spot worthy of a revisit.
It's been freezing cold for many days now. The rapids between two lakes keep the water in motion and steaming so things get a pretty cover of frost. Pretty, yeah. But I miss the warmth of summer.
I woke up feeling fine this morning, however S was not so good, so decided to come home a day early. This was the scene at one of our sudden, unscheduled stops on the way home. He is feeling better now that he's home.
Finally out of the darkroom and into the evening skies. It was really nice to meet up with a bunch of light painting buddies and fill the night with sparks.
This is always a fun way to spend a few hours.
