My favorite and most interesting new barn of the winter. I first had a more head on view of it from a greater distance than this, and quickly thought that one of two things might be happening here. Tomorrow's post will show a side view.

You can see the faint year 1945 in front.

This is part of a huge panoramic photograph that is displayed in the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims in the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima. The building shown here still remains here in ruins and is now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The Atomic Bomb Dome symbolises a pledge made to convey the absolute horror of the August 1945 bombing and the call for the abolition of all nuclear weapons and the establishment of eternal world peace. A goal that we sadly still fall short of today.

75th anniversary of the Allied bomber attack in February 1945 on Uedem, Lower Rhine (Germany)

"As the American army advances to fight off the last remaining German soldiers they encounter more pillboxes and Panzerturms. Lucky the new M36 Jackson Tank destroyer "The Bearer of bad news" does the job quickly and painlessly."

Operation Grapeshot was the final allied offensive in Italy. After breaking through the Gothic Line but failing to go through the Po Valley the allies had the wait during the Winter before a major offensive was possible. The allied 15th army group made up of the British Eighth army, The American fifth army and other allied attachments were part of the offensive. Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italian social republic were falling apart and could no longer maintain control. The allies pushed through the regions of Veneto, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna until the surrender of German forces in Italy and the dismemberment of the Italian Social republic on May 2nd 1945.

So what happened to Mussolini? He was captured by Italian partisans and him and his wife were shot and killed. To show what little respect people had for him, he and his wife's bodies were strung up like cattle and displayed for all to see. The war was over in Italy and now it was time to rebuild.

So for a long time I wanted to do a better Italian front build, so I expanded the last one, added more to the house and made more trees native to Italy such as the olive tree, Stone pine and the Cypress tree. I also added the Panzerturm and the M36 Jackson.

Delivered new to the RAF in 1945 just a short time before the end of the war. Eventually sold off by the MOD - it saw use as a recovery vehicle with various companies before being restored to it's present condition.

I painted the helmet , what do you think ? I love it :P

On the 16th of April of 1945, the Soviet Union's major offensive into the heart of Germany continued, and resulted in the unconditional surrender of the German forces in the city on the 2nd of May. Although the defeat of Germany was a foregone conclusion by the spring of 1945, both the Soviet and German forces suffered a vast number of casualties in the battles that would end the war on the Eastern Front.

This build depicts a group of Soviet infantry accompanying a T-34/85 medium tank that is advancing through the damaged city of Berlin, while the German forces attempt to hold their positions.

This build consists of approximately 12,000 parts. The tank is about 1:42 scale, and if anyone is interested, I can share the digital file for it.

"Diabolico!”

Stavo ancora ragionando secondo categorie terrene.
