The Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.

The apostles were formed by erosion: the harsh weather conditions from the Southern Ocean gradually eroded the soft limestone to form caves in the cliffs, which then became arches, which in turn collapsed; leaving rock stacks up to 45 metres high

I will always try to reciprocate with a visit back to your stream.

Before arriving on location I had an idea of what type of image I'd like to create. It is fairly close to what I had imagined.... Turning Day into night at Lake Te Anau, New Zealand.

Today is the last symmetrical date for 88 years - the next one is on January 1st, 2101.

This was taken in St Stephen's Green, Dublin. It looks good in the light box if you have the time.

A lovely still, misty morning left everything in the garden covered in droplets.

pour mon poussin !...

And the sun is finally rising!

This is the tree I've been following all year. It isn't officially part of the series.

I just wanted to take it while it is still dressed in it's finest.

I'm afraid by December it will be completely naked.

Project Flickr for 2014 - For this we needed to photograph the same subject each month all year to see the changes from month to month.

Thank you for your visit, comments, awards and invites...Much appreciated.!

8 degree temp, 80km winds and rain greeted me at the 12 apostles. Conditions meant that I had to shoot handheld as the wind would have blown the tripod over, which meant no long exposures :( Still got some sweet light before the sun disappeared behind the clouds.

I want the hunger for love and beauty to be in the Depths of my spirit,

for I have seen those who are Satisfied the most wretched of people.

I have heard the sigh of those in yearning and Longing,

and it is sweeter than the sweetest melody...

With evening's coming the flower folds her petals

And sleeps, embracingher longing.

At morning's approach she opens her lips to meet

The sun's kiss...
