Bentenjima Island at night. Arasaki, Japan.
I was spending short vacation at the nice place near Lake Saimaa.
I found the shores nearby really inspiring. The quality of the light during the early mornings and late evenings was so fine!
Got one my best memories by waking up at 3am and watching how the Venus reflected from the foggy water.
One evening I took this photo. The sun was going down and the small cape nearby was bathing in warm light.
The movement of the sun was fast, shadows begun to raise during the couple of minutes that I need to grab my camera equipments, compose the picture and quickly measure the light.

Sunrise, clouds and misty Lake Saimaa.
This was taken about 15 minutes after the sun begun to rise above the distant horizon.
The lake was covered by mist layer and quickly the sun went behind the clouds.

This year the sea is icing early. I don't remember seeing this before on November.
It was cold, the ground glass of my 4x5 field camera froze up after first breath under the focusing cloth and I had to scratch small holes on ice to see anything.
