Wow! Amazing photograph, Matt! Slow enough shutter speed to turn the water all mystic-like and yet, the folk on the pier held their positions long enough so that they aren't all just a blur...how you do that? You have a megaphone with you, or something? Ha! Ha! Oh, and the light out in the lake is brilliant! Well done, my friend.

Absolutely beautiful, the colours, the composition and the texture of the water. Well done.

Great shot, and I really like the lighthouse on the pier and the little light sun is still giving out. This _might_ look even neater if you cropped a bit of the dead space from the bottom of the pic (up until the three barely visible rocks) away..?
Great job indeed with the shutter speed!

Amazing that you got such sharp people in a 5 second exposure. Brilliant shot, for the reasons cited above.

Wow, the water looks like rising fog. Superb result, lovely colours too.

Can you show us a skyline view of Toronto from across the harbour?

Thanks every body. If you are local you'll know I was pointed East to take this shot - the illumination in the sky is not the sun ( I dont know exactly what it was actually). When I took my series of shots, I didn't even know there were people on the pier until I found some wierd light squiggles on a 20s exposure (one of the guys had used a flash light to check his gear). I bumped the ISO and opened up a stop to shorten up the exposure to get them standing still. Amazed me they came out so clear over 5s.

this is beautiful. the dreaminess of the water, what I assume is fog, and then the colors of the sky. wonderful capture!

Not fog sir, Long exposure effect on waves makes the dreamy smoky appearance.
Thanks ;) but you and I both know your flickr is filled with many shots better than that. Thank you for the kind comments
