Incredibly Poor Design
I came across this piece of work while trying to change some pot lights above the front desk. The light bulbs themselves are standard halogens. The fixture, however, is way up in a recess.
So someone thought up this brilliant solution. Look closely: notice how it's actually two identical pieces screwed together. And what's with the outlets? One of my coworkers jested it was for disco balls (the building dates back to the seventies). But the worst part is the bottom there, where it's discoloured. That can't be good.
I can't wait for a building inspector to come by. :P
