Really cool shot - I love the curtain especially.

I didn't realize you could tour the court itself. Very cool.

That is a very striking photo well done! I thought they stopped giving tours/ect after 9-11. I thought I remember seeing something about that in the Washington Post about a year ago

We actually found the building to be pretty open and easy to roam around the public areas. You can take photos of the Court Chambers from the main entrance, and then each hour they have a 30-minute presentation by one of the docents in the courtroom itself on the history of the Court, the building, and what takes place in the courtroom during arguments. It was pretty interesting and pretty open to the public (much more so than the Capitol).

A wonderful photo! Love the texture of the curtain and the composition.

This I love! It almost feels theatrical, as if i'm watching a play about the Supreme Court and the curtains are just parting for the 1st act!

Little confused, this comes up as creative commons free use but then you also have getty images licensing?

    10. Phil Roeder 39 months ago | reply

Simply means that Getty can invite this photo to be covered by their licensing, but until then it's a CC image.
