When we got home from our trip, the air conditioner was dead. We shouldn't complain too much; the old one was 30 years old and we were keeping it on life support the past few weeks. Although for a couple of days, it was hot as hell in the house.
So, today a new unit was installed. I figure since this is probably the most expensive thing I'll buy this year it is worthy of a photograph.
The nice thing about Lennox central air conditioning is that these are actually built about 45 miles from here, in Marshalltown. While it feels good to buy produce from local farmers at a market, it feels even better to buy something manufactured right here at home.
