Sobre un arroyo, inclinado crece un sauce

que muestra su pálido verdor en el cristal.

Con sus ramas hizo ella coronas caprichosas

de ranúnculos, ortigas, margaritas, y orquídeas

a las que el llano pastor da un nombre grosero

y las jóvenes castas llaman "dedos de difunto".
