From memory I just cut a take up reel down and shaped it to hold each side of the 35mm can. I briefly had an old eastern European TLR that could shoot 35mm. I died really fast but I had liked the result so much I put these things together for the blad.

I was not too sophisticated tool wise so I reckon it was just a box cutter job! I would just pop the back open slightly at 12 fames to get going again. Fun.

I hope you don't mind me plopping it in your comment stream.

plop all you want... interesting title on that one.

I tried popping open the camera back under my shirt in a nice dark spot (creepy looking, I'm sure) to reset the counter, but wound up with a nice flash. You can kind of see it in this this shot along the bottom edge. Probably won't try that again. Bah, who am I kidding... of course I'll wind up trying it again.

Older backs you just back wind the take-up at 12 and the counter re-sets....but you have to block out the back hole....
