Yellowhammer | by Matt Ibbs

The Yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella) is a small yellow song bird found across Eurasia. They like open farm land and the edges of forests (like this one). Their song is often interpreted as "a little bit of bread and no cheeeeeeese". If you ever hear it, you'll understand why. These are beautiful little birds and very common in most areas of europe, though they've recently been in decline in the UK. This one is in western Poland.
