Nice one! Did you give him something to eat ?
  • Steve Bethell 5y

Love the shallow DOF and detail here Steve!!, these guys look so comical!!, cheers Steve.

So cute! The tree on the background (oof) balances the image and the framing with the two brown lines is a great choice!
Love the compo and the isolation of the sweet subject!!

Awesome shot of this cute little guy, the dof and composition is great too.
  • Leona Biskie PRO 5y

One of my favorite subjects.....just love this one!! Great color and comp!

BTW, I had a good read on your link for Harlequin Romance and that was really interesting. I didn't know that it all started here in our city!

    Thanks everyone!

Wishing you all a great week. Was a great weekend which ended in a short trip to Birds Hill Park. Only took all summer to get out to the water. To cold in the end to really swim but had a good time just getting out of town and cooking over the fire.

Really great shot, Steve! Excellent DoF and sharpness of the squirrel. You shot this with your 18-105? Maybe I don't need to shell out for the 70-300 after all. :)
  • StephenZacharias PRO 5y

Yes Aaron. I get some pretty results wth the kit lens. Of course you need to be close enough and that takes a little luck!

    Love this shot Steve.

that's a great shot you got with the kit lens! And those red ones are becoming increasingly rare, we don't see any out here anymore. Interesting tidbit in your narrative, too - I once happened to run into a Harlequin Romance convention where the (mostly female) fan community got to meet some of the cover models in person. Absolute riot. I had no idea this "movement" started in Winnipeg!

Zun that would have been quite the experience. I suppose you were there to take pictures I can assume. I am pretty happy with what you can do with this lens. Think I'll stick to the three I have but sure think of adding to the arsenal. Still contemplating a new Point and Shoot. I think I would get more photo taken as I just can't always take the DSLR with me or choose not to.
  • Keith Armstrong 5y

great friendly frame - so glad Manitoba doesn't have the black squirrel we do out east
  • gargi112 5y
