Attempts to generalize the 2D Mandelbrot to 3D.
The problem is how to define the square of a 3-component number. By requiring the X and Y components multiply like normal complex numbers, you only need to define how the Y*Z and Z*Z components behave. This images were made by trying out mapping these two products to (plus/minus) X,Y,Z (16 combinations).
