      :( my icing melts everytime I try to make this... do you have any icing tips on getting the ribbons to stay perky? Love this cake btw!

      Thanks, everyone! @eccshasky It sounds like you're icing is too warm--if you pop your pastry bag of icing into the fridge or freezer for a few moments every so often, when you feel it's getting too warm, that should solve the problem. A stable meringue buttercream that's just room temp should hold up well. The heat from the hands softens it so quickly. Don't give up! Good luck!
