Ah, you got to that first! :)

I saw that the other day on my way back from walking during lunch. My idea to self-limit myself to 24 shots per outing got the better of me, as my memory card was full. Doh!

    Bigger memory card!

Well, that would 1) make my $35 camera purchase probably twice as expensive :) and 2) put me back into the same problem I had before: shooting quantity instead of quality.

Ok, so maybe it's a silly experiment, but when I picked up the A205 and found that the 16MB card would hold no more than 24 photos (unless I'm shooting blank, featureless walls), I thought "hey, here's an opportunity to focus on quality over quantity" (I was moving from my film Olympus Stylus Epic.) With my A80, I've got a 1GB card and shoot and shoot and shoot (20,000 photos in 2 years and 2 months), which can be powerful, but tends to lend itself to a lot more time spent culling.

Now that I've been running up against the 24 photo limit during my walks, I think I might need to get a 32MB xD card (if I can find one for real cheap). :)

Interesting concept. Sort of like having just one roll of 35mm film back in the *old* days.

I know what you mean though, I have a gig card than never gets filled up, even shooting raw files. Taken over 4000 photos in a year. Yikes.

As an experiement I think it has been very positive for my photography, especially on these lunch-time walks. But today I figured out a "solution." Get 3/4ths of the way back and realize that you left your camera on the 0.3MP setting. 102 photos on a 16MB card!

    *smacks self*
