Joey sticks his tongue out...
Joey, the name for a baby kangaroo, sticks his tongue out at me while hiding inside his mothers pouch at the Featherdale wildlife park, Sydney, Australia.
A Kangaroo is a marsupial mammal. There are more than 40 diferent species and it is a macropod which means "big foot". The smaller ones are usually called wallabies and the largest one is the red kangaroo. Kangaroos move my hopping on their powerful hind legs and they use their tail to help them balance their body while hopping, sometimes at speeds of 40 mph!
Typically, a Joey will spend 10 months in its mothers pouch.
