Not quite a traditional European gold dubloon, but one featuring Rama and Laxman, from the Hindu Tradition on sale at the Gold City in Manama, Bahrain.


Rama and Laxman are brothers in the Hindu tadition. Both warriors Laxman is said to have slayed thousands of demons and Rama one of the most popular dieties in Hinduism, was a famous ancient king depiste the name Rama meaning dark, back, or darkness. That said, according to their tradition Rama never attacked anyone unless he was provoked and did so in defense, something he did throughout his life.
