Nothing like a bit of bloodsport to set one up for the day . . .

Taffy standing over her freshly slaughtered trophy. She is only days away from giving birth to her third litter of pups, father unknown to anyone but herself.

very interesting shot...wish her luck with her litter. You do know rats carry diseases that are passed to animals and humans.

Great find for B/W! Well done both of you!

    works well in B&W
  • June is bringing the 90's..YUCK! 3y

She's obviously a ratter. This is sad in away...I love all animals, even the not so nice ones. I hope she will be ok...
  • 12story 3y

She will be a good mother. Great trophie capture.

I am not sure if she looks impressed or embarrassed.. LOL! great catcher obviously... :)

I know its not nice for animals to die but rats cause huge problems and disease and a terrier dispatching them is the fastest and most humane way....much better and safer than poison..Well done exciting about her pups...cant wait to see them. Great picture.

Aww Taffy - nice catch! My cats play with the poor critters!
Looking forward to some puppy shots too!

Wonderful Sarah! Excellent shot and great black-and-white!
  • Michelle 3y

Good doggie! Now, bring on those puppies!
  • Sarah 3y

    Thank you all.
Sue Thompson Thank you for your thoughtful concern. She is regularly vaccinated and my vet son tells me that dogs more often get Leptospirosis from other dogs
sallzz Taffy is a farm dog, and rat-catching is her job. She enjoys it enormously, and as you say is extremely quick and efficient. There can't be more than 5 seconds of suffering for her victims once she has caught them.

Wonderful shot! Even though I'd have to say thanks but no thanks. It does make a great capture, though.

I recently discovered I have an uninvited guest in my apartment....thankfully NOT a rat, though a smaller version, the mystery mouse. Mysteriously not seen, but the proof is in the poo. I am hoping one of my dogs catches the critter. Well done Taffy!
