Kuleli Military School, Istanbul, Turkey
Kuleli Military High School was established on September 21, 1845 under the name of "Mekteb-i Fünun-ı Idadiye" and moved to Kuleli Barracks in 1872.
In the war times (Russo-Turkish War 1877–1878, First Balkan War 1912-1913 and World Wars), the school was used as a hospital. After Russo-Turkish War, the building was ravaged by a fire. It was renovated by Sultan Abdulaziz.
The school became a civilian high school by "Tevhid-i Tedrisat" Bill (a law that combined all education) passed in 1924 and renamed as "Kuleli Lisesi" (Kuleli High School). At the end of the same year, it became a military high school again. Also it took its present name in 1925 as "Kuleli Military High School”.
