Island of Brač~
Bol is famous for its beaches, full of white, sandy pebbles resembling the eye-balls of fish. Zlatni rat (The Golden Cape), which is considered the most beautiful beach in all of Dalmatia (I. Rubic), has stretched Brac into the sea towards the south with its half-kilometre long body. It quivers restlessly with its white tongue when submitting to the waves that move it to and fro in obedience to the winds.
The centuries-old pines grow along the lines and paths, squeezed between the blocks of houses and set on the edges of the beaches. The summer heat is cooled in the early afternoon by the gentle western breeze, the maestral.
French publishing house Grand Voyagers Publishing issued The Guide to the 100 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World.
Croatia is listed among these beautiful destinations specifically for BOL (Zlatni Rat Beach, Island of Brač).
