The family on Easter Sunday, 1961

Newer Older

Taken in the back yard of our house on Halper Rd. in Poway, CA, just before my family headed to church. Easter was one of the few days out of the year that my parents actually attended church services. I was going through a phase of hating to have my picture taken, which is why I'm sulking.

If that's your brother on the far left, he reminds me of Al Franken!

    Your body language is PHENOMENAL!
Not only are you truely bershon here, but you exude an unusual comfort in your bershoness. Rather than just having the bershon facial expression, you stand, indignantly, with hands on hips, one leg cocked, as if you are saying, "yeah I bershon, what of it?"

I love love love your pictures. I was looking for vintage Poway pictures and found yours. Some of my family lived on Halper road too, but just briefly in the 70s.

Love the picture! I was born on that very day, it made my mother so happy to always be able to say, my child was born on Easter Sunday, :). Thanks for bringing back such wonderful memoirs, we also as a family got all dressed up and went to church every Easter. Have a bless day.
