perfect autumn painting dear susan, wow !!!
  • Susan Murtaugh PRO 6y

Helene, Luis, BE and Patricio thank you, a part of me does not want to take such credit, this is a case where the painting was saved by a brush, really. BUT knowing to try the brush, I suppose counts! Cheers and I'm off to go back to work.

All your works are amazing, but this one is really impressive for me. Your amazing use of this rare and useful brush, gives to the picture this elusive feeling of dance that give the intense sun rays filtering through the leaves swaying in the wind. pure poetry that fascinates me when I walk through the woods and I had never been so beautifully portrayed.

Awesome Susan, I love the colors and the use you made of the brushes. Feels like a real painting. Very inspiring one!
  • Joseandrés Guijarro PRO 6y

Is not a real painting, Thierry? ;·)
  • Greg Durrett PRO 6y

As I become more familiar with your style, I feel I understand your approach a bit more too. Your tutorial helped a lot in that regard. I like how you use that brush almost as a "movement/pizazz" layer.
  • Susan Murtaugh PRO 6y

It is real painting, I agree LLN, thierry just had an accidental slip, he knows it is too!

GD... you are absolutely right. The pizzaz for me almost always comes at the end. But in the case of Luis' portrait you must think hard all the time because each stoke is one of those that means everything.

Thanks everyone again.I appreciate your comments.

    beautiful day:)

This is beautiful and really inspiring. The brush can't make the painting. It's only a tool. It takes work, talent, and vision to use it correctly.
