Don't forget to add the www.cfoi.org.uk.

Although they're much more concerned with getting FOIA to work, there's an online dimension to it when it comes to Publication Schemes (pdf), and disclosure logs, similar to this one at the Department for Transport. Because of Blair's hostility to open government, the UK really failed to do a good job on using new technology in implementing these new rights. Unlike Mexico, where you can make anonymous online requests for government information, through a very smart system operated by the Mexican federal information commissioners. The UK government, unsuprisingly, has invested more in systems of control over the disclosure of information, such as the system operated by DCA's 'Clearing House'.

But thanks for posting the mindmap - very interesting.

Interesting. What MM software? Suggest typographic or (more Buzan-ish) colour/icon convention for People/Issues/URL.

It's NovaMind for Mac. They are doing a new version that's coming out soon that will have lots more functionality, but I pretty much like the way it works now anyway. Can't be arsed w. icons and all that - simple and clean works for me.

Hm - I don't know how I feel about this. Fragmentation?

Oh... damn you acronyms... the aronymity is well over my head, but still I find this fascinating, interesting and even useful... there's still a tremendous amount of it that I can still understand and is useful.

It never ceases to amaze me how fast mind maps allow one to browse and impart knowlege... even the depth... but they still need to become a hyperlinkable standard... I guess maybe that would be OPML?

So, this is Novamind for mac. Hadn't heard of it. It's draws beautifully.
