mini hex quilt

    this is a minuture hex grand mothers flower garden quilt.
    The hexagons are 1/4 inch per side there are over 5500 pieces in this quilt 8 years in the making ( 5 years of which it was in storage)

      Actually I am not running I am just going real slow on making the other two all the pieces are cut just haven't started the basting and asembly yet

      That would be alot of work, I did one years ago and not nearly that many..and that was alot of work....it looks great!

      What an amazing amount of work. I once started one myself but sadly never finished. It was much bigger hexagons though.

      This would make a great entry for the current theme of 'Hobbies' in the 'The Monthly Theme Group'.

      oh my word. you are fantastic! its so beautifully done! what a treasure they will have for generations. very talented, and very patient i might add! all i have managed so far is a crib quilt, and it was just squares!

      oh my goodness!! I have actually started an English paper pieced one and it is a charm quilt... every piece is going to be different when it is complete.
