Yellow Garden Spider - Immature - Argiope aurantia

Found two of these guys on our lanai. The immatures camouflage themselves in the stabilamenta, an area of heavy silk. The zig zag shape of the silk indicates it's an A. aurantia. Both mature and immature position themselves head down on the web. They are carnivorous and are not aggressive towards humans except when irritated too much. Size when this was shot was about 4mm. Color will change to more yellow and black as it matures.
