Behind the Curtain

A brief opening in the fog cover gave a partial view of the brightly lit mountains beyond. It happened so fast that there was little time to compose the shot but I was lucky to catch some mountain ash trees with their intense red berries.

Love this moment that you have captured. This vail of fog just dropping enough to give us a tiny hint. This kind of lighting situation is tough, and you did it perfectly.

I'll take what's behind curtain #2. Awesome shot of a fleeting moment, Dale! The foreground elements are so beautiful, too. I always wondered what the name was for the shrubs with the with the bright, red berries, so thanks for the education. ;o)

Man, I'd say you composed it just perfectly. Those fleeting moments really are an exercise and a thrill. You've got to make it work wherever you happen to be standing, and you anchored it beautifully

What a beauty Dale....perfect opening in the sky. Just enough color and contrast in the foreground to make it pop.

Excellent, excellent title, fires the imagination. Beautiful shot peeking through the clouds. Visual storytelling at its best.

I can't say enough about this image Dale! Love the parting of the curtain sense here, with its tantalizing glimpse of the even grander beauty beyond. Another thing I like is that, at the very first glance, there almost a rorschach aspect to this which is very cool. Great job on the fleeting moment composition here too!
