A prototype of a $30 thermostat that can talk to other sensors wirelessly (XBee). It has two modes - autonomous and managed. In autonomous mode, it turns the load on and off depending on the T threshold preprogrammed in advance. In managed mode (still to be implemented) it will broadcast temperature readings periodically and respond to remote commands such as current temperature reading, load on and load off. Since I'll be using XBee for communication, this sensor will be able to form mesh network with other sensors. Also, I'll be able to reprogram it remotely.
