A Salvage Yard
Sometimes a salvage yard rises above expectations and demonstrates an ability to captivate a photographer to an unusual degree.

Sometimes there's evidence of the owner arranging items to suit some purpose. This might indicate caring about the items, or it might indicate practicality -- old tire chains left on the ground would rust away very quickly, but old tire chains hung on a fence will rust away more slowly, lending their charm for decades instead of years.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Maybe I'm waxing rhapsodic over a highly unlikely subject which doesn't deserve any elevation in status.

What is for sure is that I like salvage yards. Or more specifically, I like looking for weird abstract shapes or capturing metallic decay in some nice, low-angled light. Beyond that, the rest is mere speculation.
