My Best Friend Beefy
This is Beefy.
He is my best friend.
He is a 5 and a half year old Cocker Spaniel and I have had him since he was three days old and no bigger than my fist.
Many of you are familiar with Beefy.
For some of you, this may be your first time seeing him!
Either way, say "Hi!" to Beefy!
He is my best buddy and has been a wonderful companion; he may not be as fast and active as bigger dogs, but he has heart, he loves to explore, he is always making new doggy friends, he is very well behaved, very intelligent (especially when he suspects there is food involved!), very playful, very friendly, and loves to be petted, rubbed, hugged, and to go on photographic adventures with me!
Here he is shown just raising his tired head up after a long afternoon nap on his favorite chair with his favorite blanket.
He earned the nap after a long walk through the snow, chasing birds and meeting other dogs!
I realized today that I had not posted a photo of my best buddy in far too long, so here he is, in all his sleepy glory!
This was actually a good time to snap a shot of him, because he is about as hairy as we let him get (for the winter warmth factor)...we have him booked in next week for a shaving, and when he comes out you realize there is a very different looking, much smaller version of Beefy hidden beneath all that soft, beautiful, curly fur!
p.s. - The quote is one that our local dog spa and grooming place has up in big, bold letters on one of their walls; I read it this weekend for what must have been the millionth time and realized it would make a perfect caption for a photo of Beefy, so I wrote it down!
