Aurora Australis

Starting a fun 15-day road trip across New Zealand today! Also, I'm about to release a newsletter with some pretty cool stuff in it that I think you'll love - if you don't get it yet, you can sign up here at

This photo is of the Aurora Australis, which you can see here from New Zealand since it's wintertime... up north it's the Borealis. Down here it's the Australis. I don't know how Australia got the naming rights, but those Aussies can be a little slippery. I just flew up to Wellington. It's my first flight in about five months so it felt kind of weird! The plane was packed, but no one was worried since we don't have any active COVID 19 down here (except for a handful that are in quarantine after landing here from other countries). So everything feels totally normal down here, and that's quite a relief!
