Downtown Boston from my Hotel Room

    Newer Older

Usually, I like to sneak up to the roof of buildings to get the best shots. But, every now and then, my best plans are foiled by locked doors and surly security guards. My charms fail at some point, and I am stuck shooting out of my hotel room window. The only advantage is that I don't have to freeze in 10 degree howling wind while waiting for the light to hit its apogee of beauty.

This was just about the prettiest part of the day, especially since I had to spend the rest of it staring at morose lawyers.

Good morning, this is a wonferful capture. I'm very intrigued with photography, I've been perusing Flickr a lot this past week looking for inspiring shots and ideas, I've come across yours (obviously because it's beautiful and very well done) and I want to learn an abundant amount of information so that I can decorate my home with framed pictures that I captured. Needless to say this picture of yours caught my eye, just showing you appreciation for your great work.
Whenever you get some free time, could you check out my personal flickr page and review just a few photos of mine so that I get a better idea of what I'm doing right and wrong. I'm just starting out and I only have a handful of photos but I welcome your constructive feedback and any advice you can share with me, I just purchased a used DSLR a few days ago. Feel free to share any photos you have with me anytime likewise.

Great shot of Boston! I have lived there and just visitied in October... poor you, there in this winter snow time and cold.... such a 'windy'' city, and seemingly full of 'lawyers' too.... eeeeeeee.

Great! I like the window part too, no need to "sneak up to the roof" ;)
