The Bridge of Death

    Newer Older

The bridge where they moved the excommunicated to execution... I was there towards the late afternoon and there was an eerie red light in the sky over the blackened bridge.

This was created after following the new video tutorial entitled "A World of Textures" that I recently put together. Included is also 100 textures, depending on the package you choose.

I just recently (like 2 days ago) found your blog, and I wanted to say it's incredible and inspiring, and I cannot wait for the new tutorial. Woo hoo! Learning is fun! :) And, of course, the photo rocks, too.

That is pretty dark alright. Your shots would be brilliant on the front cover of a novel like 'The Da Vinci Code', they're just so mystical looking. Looking forward to the tutorial.

      amazing picture.

even if i see this building every day- this pic just rocks!

Edit: i don't think that anybody who got executed went through this "tunnel" this is just the connection between the "castle" and the church

There's a similar bridge in italy called "pont des soupirs", meaning the bridge of sigh. got it's name as it linked the prison cells to the execution room...

this is some bullshit story. its just a walkway between Schloss and Hofkirche. (castle and church) so the king could be unseen going to church. commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:X_Dresden-Bridge.Schloss-...
